“They Call Me Murdered” by Cyndi Lord is about private investigator Sandy Derringer who has the ability to talk to the dead. She doesn’t always like this gift, but when a spirit talks to her through her computer she ends up on a new case she (and the reader) won’t soon forget.
The author surrounds Sandy with colorful and meaningful characters. Her dog Drew adds a great dimension to Sandy’s character and to the story itself. Her fiancé and her have a very believable relationship. Sandy is relatable and incredibly likeable. I was rooting for her the entire way, something that is absent from a lot of books today. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep me happy and the mystery was exceedingly fun and entertaining. Overall, a great paranormal “ghostly” read that will keep you turning the pages!
